Scrapper's Delights Thursday Inspiration 18th May 2017

For my inspiration project this month, I have used Sunflower 2 Digi stamp available here
As we have just had Mother's Day I chose to make this card, but the image is perfect to act as a frame for a clean and simple birthday card or any sort of card that just needs a simple verse or message in the centre of the frame of flowers.  I didn't feel I had to add any other embellishments to take away from the beauty of this stamp.

Mo's Digital Challenge No. 275

Well, I have heaps of Mo's digital stamps, but this is the first time I have decided to enter the challenge, and just my luck it is the final challenge.  Ah well, better late than never.  Hope you like my Baby with giraffe Age 1 birthday card.

Scrapper's Delights/Kit and Clowder Group colouring challenge April 29-May 13 2017

This is an inspiration piece I did for the Scrapper's Delights/Kit and Clowder Genie colouring event.  I love all of Janice's genies and I think I have the whole collection as well as the sentiments she created to go with the genies.  Why not check them out in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_193&zenid=9f48a089941350723de6004b1d5b4fa8 and while this event is on you can get some real bargains especially Genie 5 at only $1.00 plus if you are a member at Kit and Clowder you will find an extra discount code to grab more.  Happy shopping and colouring, but be quick, the competition finishes very soon.

Aussie Digital Artists Challenge No. 4 - May 2017

I could not resist entering another of Sasayaki Glitter's images in this challenge.  I found the paper in my stash (of course) along with a pregnancy brad and decided to lift it up a bit by attaching to a button.  I thought the paper I used was perfect for a Pregnancy Congratulations card as it was colour appropriate for someone who chooses not to know whether the baby is a girl or boy, but then again, going by today's standards, maybe she does know and just doesn't want to tell us!  What do you think?  Be sure to check out Naz's Etsy shop, Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps.  She has some great images and there are so many to choose from.  I am heading over there again before Mother's Day, as she has a great special for us mums I just can't resist.  Check out https://www.facebook.com/Sasayaki-Glitter-Digital-Stamps-1683362591888560/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf for details.

Aussie Digital Artists Challenge 4 - May 2017

For this month's challenge over at Aussie Digital Artists, I have used a Sasayaki Glitter image called "Raining Heart".  I have made a birthday card for a friend's grand-daughter, of course using one of my favourite colours Purple.

Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 4th May 2017

This month's Progressive Challenge freebie image at Scrapper's Delights is "Anna Mae 4" and what a cutie she is.  Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for the details https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/.  I went with the "sweet theme" for this card and used a flair from my stash.  I used Copics for colouring and printed Anna Mae twice - once with an oval shape and then again without and used foam tape to give her that little lift.  A perfect birthday card for that sweet little girl in your life.  I hope you enjoy creating with Anna Mae 4 in May just as much as I did.

Imagine that Digistamp April 2017 link-up

I won this digi "Retro Waitress" on a recent Imagine that Digistamp Facebook competition. As soon as I saw it, I was taken back to the days of watching Richie Cunningham and The Fonz in Happy Days. What a classic TV show! I could not resist using some of the lyrics to the theme song on this card, as well as sourcing a free jukebox clip art on Google.  After coming up with my ideas for this card, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Erin Moran, RIP Joanie Cunningham.  I hope you like my card and head over to http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html to see the great digi sets, Kristy from Imagine that Digistamp has to offer.  Kristy's digi sets have so much to offer - sentiments, coloured versions of the stamp and some even come with papers, great value for your small outlay.  You will definitely find something there you can't resist - I did!  So glad I found Imagine that Digistamp!

April Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

This month's Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz showcases the work of Mary Smith from Createful Heart and what a lovely image is Hummingbird n Morning Glory Flowers.
I have chosen to make a Mother's Day card because here in Australia we celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, I think a little different to some countries.  I have chose a CAS layout to showcase Mary's beautiful image.  Thank you for looking at my card.

Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge April 2017

This month's image from Gerda is called Pen Pal Bear.  What a great image to use on a little note card.  You know those cards you send with a note on the side.  Well I decided to add some lines in the middle of the card.  Nothing like starting a little note on the left hand side when you write on a card and find your message is so crooked and you have run out of room.  This card is perfect for catching up with friends.  Thank you Gerda for yet another cute image for our Progressive Challenge. For those who haven't come across Gerda's website check this out, images full of cuteness I say. https://gsd-stamps.com/

18 April 2017

Steampunk, something I am not real confident with, maybe it's my age group, but I ventured out of my comfort zone and chose Chastity Steampunk 2 for this card http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_206&products_id=884
As a matter of fact, Janice has some great images in the Victorian and Steam Punk section of her store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_206
Why not check them out now - they can be mixed and matched to create something spectacular.  I have coloured Chastity with Copics and used some pipe and cog dies to get into the theme.  I hope my card inspires you to take a look in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/
Thank you for joining me today and I will see you at our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/ with your creations.  We may be on the DT Team but your work inspires us too! Have a great day creating!

Rainy Days Digi 1 - what a great freebie especially with the weather we are having in New South Wales, Australia.  Boy, has it been wet and sad for some families too, lives have been lost in some very bad conditions, and young lives too, families torn apart with grief.  But onto a happier note, this digi is available here https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/.  Why not join our group and get into the swing of our progressive challenge each month, it is a lot of fun and there are always a great range of bargains to be had at the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/.
Our optional twist for this month was to NOT make a square or rectangle card.  Well I decided to get out one of my WeRMemoryKeepers Lucky 8 punches.  Tools certainly take up a great deal of your stash, just when you think you might be able to whittle away at it, you remember the many tools you have bought over the years,  I cut the doily in half and used that as my base card.  I could not decide between the two sentiments so I used both.  The yellow doily you see peeking out of the bottom of the flowers is supposed to be an umbrella but I think I went overboard with the floral arrangement and the umbrella handle is a toothpick covered with thin wire to make the hook. When I never know what one of my cards can be used for, I always call them inspirational! lol
I hope I have inspired you to go grab Rainy Days Digi 1 and create something beautiful.

Imagine That Digistamp March 2017

This month I have used "Frogs in Love" just for a general card to show your love for someone.  This month I have used my prismacolor pencils instead of Copics - needless to say I am still learning how to use them!  Thank you Imagine That Digistamp for this digi set.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #2

For this month's challenge, I have decided to showcase a digital stamp from Ericraft, this month's challenge sponsor.  This stamp is called "Merry Cocky".  I love using Aussie stamps as our Christmas is in the summer season - no snow for us Aussies!  I have also used some chipboard from Scrapmatts, another Australian company.  The holly sprig I coloured with Copics but the bauble was already in that shade.

From the Heart Stamps - Free Stamp of the Month March 2017

This month's free stamp is Lucky Lil Birdie.  She is so cute and great for St Patrick's Day cards (if you celebrate the day) or for any card where you want to wish the recipient Good Luck.  Thank you From the Heart Stamps,  for another cutie freebie!

The Outlawz March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month we have a beautiful image "Spring Window" from Beccy's Place. From a fellow Australian I thank you Beccy for this digi.  When I saw the window, I thought straightaway I must use bricks as a background and I could not resist adding a few cats, my favourite pet.  Thank you for looking at my card and don't forget to check out Beccy's Place.  She has some lovely digital stamps and lots of technique tutorials on her website.

Gerda Steiner Designs - March 2017 Progressive Challenge

This month's challenge is using Bee Strong image kindly provided by Gerda.  This is another attempt with the Prismacolor pencils, not sure how I am going, maybe it will be back to the Copics next month.

Stamps by Aurora Wings Challenge #45 Sprite Delight IV - March 2017

Thank you Mitzi for this beautiful little Pansy Sprite. This is my first attempt at colouring some digital stamps with Prismacolor pencils.  I think I will need more practice.

Scrapper's Delights Inspirations 16th March 2017

For my inspirational card for this fortnight's Inspiration Thursday, I have used Fantasy Mushrooms 1  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_161&products_id=742 as the background and the free image Easter Bunny in the foreground mounted with foam tape. As I forgot on my progressive challenge piece for March, I have used the DT Optional Twist Theme recipe of purple, 3 flowers and ribbon. Don't you just love those mushrooms.  There are many digis in the store that would look great with them.  Why not go over to the store now and check them out http://scrappersdelights.com/store/
Thank you for checking out my blog and I hope you and your family has a Happy Easter when it comes around!

Scrapper's Delights Thrifty Thursday 2nd March 2017

This month's Progressive Challenge freebie at the Facebook Scrapper's Delights* Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/  is "Easter Basket" and as inspiration I have added Baby Boo Bunny Boo to my creations.  This image is available at http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_75&products_id=666
Bit of a story to go with this creation - I was getting into the Easter mode and thought the bunny suit would be nice in pink and then when I finished my card I realised I was working with Baby Boo Boy, not Baby Boo Girl which is also available in the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_3_75&products_id=667
Well not all girls have plaits do they and boys look good in pink?  Baby Boo Bunny Boo has such a cute face, he/she could be either.  What a versatile stamp1
To save face I also made up a new Easter card and this time I used blue.  I hope you like my creations and get into the Easter spirit and create some great Easter cards with Easter Basket and all the other Easter digis available in this section at Scrapper's Delights http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=89_95

Imagine That Digistamp February Link-up

This month I have chosen "Hello Kitties" from, of course, Imagine That Digistamp.  I love any cat/kitten images, they get me in every time.  I decided to leave this card blank for any occasion.  I think just the "Hello" says enough on the front and then you can write whatever you wish inside.  Maybe a thank you note, or just a note to let a friend know how you value their friendship.  I have fussy cut a second image and cut out the flowers and mounted them with foam tape, so they pop.  Hope you like my creation.  See you next month.

From the Heart Stamps February Free Stamp of the Month Challenge

It was so good to hear that Faith from From the Heart Stamps was back with the Free Stamp of the Month Challenge.  I wish her all the best as her health improves day by day, but don't overdo it Faith - your followers will understand if you miss a month - your health comes first.  This month we were given "Hogs and Kisses" a great digi for Valentine's Day.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #01

For my third entry in the above challenge, I have chosen yet another Aussie artist's digi - Naz again from Sasayaki Glitter.  I am getting in early this year with creating Christmas cards.  I just love this image but didn't get around to using it last Christmas.  It is called "Shy Christmas Present".  Shy is featured in more of Naz's images.  He is so cute and shy too!

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #01

This is my second entry for the above challenge.  This time I have used a Sasayaki Glitter image "Turtle and Duck". I decided to make a get well card with this digi and my colouring of Turtle certainly did make him look sick, but Duck is there to help him.

Aussie Digital Artists Open Challenge #01

This is one of my entries for the above challenge.  I have used "Cheeky Chipmunk" from My Stitch Back in Twine. I just love this little chipmunk and hope you like my birthday card I created with him.

The Outlawz Challenges February Progressive challenge

Many thanks to Jodie from Bugaboo Stamps for "Friend Flower Doodle. I have coloured the inspiration image with Copics and used some Kaszazz washi tape and added a Friends Forever flair.

Scrapper's Delights showcased at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends (Facebook) 20-24 February 2017

This week we are showcasing Scrapper's Delights on Passionate Paper Creations & Friends Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/PassionatePaperCreationsandFriends/
We have three new giraffe images to introduce to you to add to the other three already in the store, as well as the clip art for those images.  For my inspiration card I have coloured with copics and of course, gone into my stash.  Remember those felt flower strips, I found an idea for them finally!  I am sure Janice is going to put these in the shop http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ at a discounted price, so grab them before they increase in price.  I know I am going to purchase them all too, so I can have a .......... sorry, just had to Google what a group of giraffes is called.  You learn something every day - A group of giraffes standing still is called a tower but a group of giraffes in motion is called a jenny. Well I never, didn't know that.  Get that tower of giraffes straightaway, I notice the other three that were released a couple of weeks ago, are still at a great price!

Scrapper's Delights Thursday Inspiration 16th February 2017

This week for my inspiration I have used the image Gus Dragon and Dinosaur 1 image
What a cute image this is!  As soon as I saw it I thought it would be great to use for baby cards and also for Easter.  Who says we have to have a bunny or a chicken on Easter cards, let's work with Gus, he is so cute!.  Don't ask me why I picked blue for the baby card, no reason, just a baby card for my stash. Actually I enjoyed making this one so much, I might do a similar one in pink soon.

The materials I used for this card were, of course, out of my stash - white card blank, Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock for the Crafts Too Butterfly embossing folder, which was lightly sanded after embossing.  My colouring was done with Copics, the sentiments were SU and the cute wood veneers came from Studio Calico.  It is fun shopping in my stash, but sometimes the items I know I have, are a little hard to find.  I guess some of you can relate to that.  Don't forget to check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/376140345820051/ and if you haven't joined yet put in a request.  We have lots of fun, with freebies, challenges and you get to see all the new releases as well as being on the spot for some great bargains at sale times.  Take a look at the Scrapper's Delights store  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ and check out the Thrifty $$$ Deals section - there is some great digis there at the moment at half the normal price.  See you next time - Happy Crafting!

Scrapper's Delights K&C Event 3-4 February 2017

Don't you just love these images Janice from Scrapper's Delights has brought out the the K&C Event.  They are gorgeous images for Valentine's Day or any celebration and they are a real bargain at the moment. Pop over to the store http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ and take a look at them.  You will find them here in the new products section http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6  I have coloured Be Mine Fox in Sharpies this time, because I went on a retreat on the weekend when these were released and didn't take my collection of Copics because I wanted to concentrate on scrapbook pages, something I haven't done for a while since becoming engrossed in digital stamps.  I hope you like the new release collection and will get over to the store, while the digital stamps in this range are on special.  You will also see in the new products section that Janice also has some clip art in the same characters if you prefer a coloured version to work with.

Thursday Inspirations - Scrapper's Delights 19th January 2017

Hi, my Thursday inspiration is a card using Amelia School Girl and CU Back to School Freebie 2.
It is a great time over at http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ because there is a sale on with up to 50% off. Amelia is on sale and the Back to School books I have used behind Amelia, is actually free at the moment and you get the coloured version which I have used and a lined version to colour yourself.  I used an old dictionary page for the background and Amelia has foam tape under her to make her pop a little.  The embellishments are from my large stash, you know those things you collect hoping you will use them some day. The scroll came from the shapes in Publisher and I made the text up myself.  Amelia is a great digi to use for school cards.  I like to have some thank you cards for teachers in my collection for my grandchildren to use.  Thank you for checking out my blog this week and don't forget the sale over at Scrapper's Delights.
The challenges I am going to enter this card in are:
